Under the direction of the CIO, the Director of IT Business Systems will be responsible for
overseeing the end-to-end intake, evaluation, and formalization of new technology initiatives,
including software requests, solution proposals, IT evaluation of licensing agreements, and
software-related contracts. This position will serve as the critical liaison between business units
and IT, ensuring technology investments are aligned with budgets, compliance standards, license
availability and resource capacity. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a blend of
technical acumen, business strategy, vendor management, and operational execution.
▪ Strategic Intake & Governance
o Establishes and leads a structured intake process for all new software and
systems-related requests across the organization.
o Facilitates cross-functional evaluation of new solutions to assess feasibility, ROI,
strategic fit, and risk.
o Prioritizes incoming requests in collaboration with enterprise architecture,
security, and finance teams.
▪ Solution Management & Evaluation
o Conducts assessments of new technology proposals, ensuring alignment with IT
strategy and enterprise architecture standards.
o Collaborates with technical SMEs and business stakeholders to define
requirements, use cases, and expected business outcomes.
o Maintains a pipeline of potential technology investments and coordinate quarterly
roadmap reviews with senior leadership.
▪ Software Licensing & Contract Management
o Oversees software lifecycle from procurement through decommissioning,
including renewals and vendor negotiations.
o Collaborates with Finance, Compliance and Contracting to review, negotiate, and
manage software and SaaS contracts.
o Ensures compliance with software licensing terms, audit requirements, and
internal policies.
▪ Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
o Serves as a key IT liaison to business leaders for solution ideation, feasibility
analysis, and intake.
o Provides regular executive-level updates on pipeline status, resource impact, and
value delivery.
o Promotes a culture of innovation and accountability by ensuring transparency into
the request and selection process.
o Works closely with the business PMO to transition new requests from Idea State
into the formal project request pipeline for review board consideration and
approvals.
▪ Team Leadership
o Leads a team of IT managers, business systems analysts and contract business
specialists.
o Fosters a collaborative, high-performance culture centered on service excellence
and continuous improvement.

HIRING RANGE:
$180,252.50 - $243,340.87
