The Human Resources Coordinator performs a variety of confidential, administrative, and clerical tasks to support the HR department in various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, training, and compliance. Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documentation, and responds to employee inquiries.
Education and Experience | High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or HR certification preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in general office responsibilities and procedures providing clerical and administrative support, including one (1) year of experience in the Human Resources field; or any combination of training, education, and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications | Knowledge and expertise in computer software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation. Knowledge of effective HR processes, trends, and strategies. Excellent decision making and analytical skills. Excellent professional written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and vendors. Valid California driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business.

Performance Based Competencies | Strong written and oral communication skills. Detail-oriented and able to multi-task with proficiency and work in a fast paced environment with accuracy. Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Work Environment And Physical Demands | Ability to use a computer keyboard. More than 60% of work time may be spent in front of a computer monitor. When required, ability to move, carry, or lift objects of varying size, weighing up to 25 lbs.
