Works with the Pharmacy Services Director and Pharmacy Operations to provide overall leadership and guidance to the clinical pharmacist team. Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages PHC clinical pharmacy programs as directed by Pharmacy Services Director to ensure successful implementation and execution.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. A current valid unrestricted California State Pharmacist license required. A professional degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred). Minimum three (3) years of experience in a managed care plan, hospital, or corporate pharmacy entity with duties comparable to those listed above and experience in administering pharmacy programs and managing pharmacists; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role.
Knowledge of Medi-Cal program as it relates to pharmacy services. Familiarity with local medical and pharmacy communities preferred. Proven ability to effectively lead teams and participate as a team member. Knowledge of managed care pharmacy practice. Valid California driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business.
Ability to lead pharmacist team in a fast-paced environment to optimize operation quality and efficiency and support department and organization-wide goals. Ability to address and resolve questions and issues independently while maintaining the judgement to seek assistance and guidance when necessary. Ability to cultivate a positive work environment through excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organization and time management skills to successfully manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to use a computer keyboard. More than 50% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor. Must be able to lift, move, or carry objects of varying size, weighing up to 10 lbs.
